Unique multi-purpose vessel equipped with Jets®
We are proud to have delivered a complete vacuum sanitary system to MS Kapp Linné, the world’s first vessel designed to combine conventional whitefish fishing and aquaculture operations in one single ship.

Delivered to Myre Kystdrift and built by Larsnes Mek. Verksted, Kapp Linné represents a significant step forward for the fishing industry – demonstrating how the sector continues to evolve and adapt to future demands.
A future-oriented vessel
Kapp Linné is a 51-metre newbuild developed to ensure year-round utilisation. The vessel can operate as a conventional fishing vessel one day and carry out stun & bleed operations for the aquaculture industry the next – without changing crew or equipment.
- This is an exciting project that demonstrates how the fishing industry is evolving and adapting. It is exciting to be able to deliver to the world’s first vessel that combines conventional fishing and aquaculture in one single vessel, says Tanja Borvik, Area Sales Manager at JETS.
The vessel has been developed with a strong focus on efficiency, innovation and sustainability, including hybrid solutions to reduce emissions during operations.

A complete vacuum sanitary solution
JETS has delivered a complete vacuum sanitary system tailored to the vessel’s specific requirements.
At the heart of the system is the patented Vacuumarator® pump, which efficiently generates vacuum while using minimal energy. The system transports both black and grey water through compact pipes, reducing space requirements, and offering flexible installation possibilities throughout the vessel.
Jets® vacuum toilets use approximately one litre of water per flush, significantly reducing water consumption compared to traditional gravity systems. The vacuum technology allows waste to be transported vertically and horizontally, independent of gravity, ensuring optimal design flexibility and reliable operation.
- Our systems are designed to be highly reliable, because we know that uptime across all onboard systems, including the sanitary system, is essential for the crew to carry out their work, states Ingvild Klokk. Project Manager at JETS.

Strong cooperation throughout the project
Michael Lockert, Ship Owner of Kapp Linné, highlights the cooperation with JETS.
- JETS has delivered all toilets on board this vessel, as well as all sanitary equipment, and the cooperation with JETS has been absolutely fantastic, says Lockert.
We place great emphasis on being a reliable partner – both during installation at the shipyard and after delivery. Close follow-up and technical support ensure that our customers always receive the assistance they need.
