Improve hygiene and reduce the risk of disease transmission
Jets® vacuum toilets are designed to reduce the release of bioaerosols into the surrounding room during flushing.
The pressure difference between the surrounding air and the vacuum pipework draws wastewater and air into the vacuum system.
This helps reduce the release of odours and potentially harmful bioaerosols into the surrounding room compared with conventional flush toilets.
Combine Jets® vacuum toilets with Jets® Touchless Flush for a hygienic, touchless flushing solution.
- Reduce airborne aerosols
- Help reduce the risk of infection transmission
- Safe and hygienic sanitation
Vacuum toilets limit the spread of infections
Researchers at Loughborough University in the UK have carried out a study comparing plume generation and bacteria spread from gravity and vacuum toilets.
The study found significant differences in toilet plume generation between conventional gravity-flush toilets and vacuum toilets.
In the study, gravity-flush toilets generated significantly more bioaerosols than vacuum toilets, indicating that vacuum flushing can help reduce bioaerosol dispersion.
"The results of this study are significant, and to the best of our knowledge no previous, published work has investigated and compared bioaerosols generation from vacuum and gravity toilets using the international standards of sampling indoor air for bacteria"
- Supervisor to the study, Professor M. Sohail (Khan) from Loughborough University
Touchless flush
To complement the hygienic advantages of our vacuum toilets, JETS has developed a touchless flush button.
The button has two operating modes: gesture activation, where a hand movement in front of the sensor triggers flushing, and automatic activation, where the sensor detects when the user moves away from the toilet.
The Jets® Touchless Flush button is easy to install in new or existing systems and is suitable for high-traffic environments such as cruise ships, hospitals, offices and other public buildings.
