What is priming, and how does it work?

Priming helps the main pump to begin moving water or other fluids by removing air from the suction line.

If air remains, the main pump cannot generate enough suction to draw in water or other fluids. Jets® vacuum pumps use negative pressure to fill the system with liquid, which eliminates the need for manual priming or other impractical solutions.
