What is priming, and how does it work?
Priming helps the main pump to begin moving water or other fluids by removing air from the suction line.
If air remains, the main pump cannot generate enough suction to draw in water or other fluids. Jets® vacuum pumps use negative pressure to fill the system with liquid, which eliminates the need for manual priming or other impractical solutions.
Priming with vacuum pumps is particularly effective in systems with dry-start conditions, long suction lines, or when pumps are placed above the water source. The Jets® Vacuumarator pump is truly self-priming.
