Olympic Notos: Energy-efficient CSOV supplied by JETS
We are proud to have delivered a complete sanitary system to Olympic Notos, a Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for the Offshore Energy industry.

Jonathan Blomvågnes, Chief Engineer at Olympic, states that the customer relationship with JETS has been outstanding.
- Jets® has been the system used on every Olympic ship I’ve worked on, which describes the system’s reliability and is why I have great confidence in it, says Blomvågnes.
We take pride in having close relationships with our customers and being a reliable partner. JETS has supplied about 17 000 vessels and has decades of experience in delivering sanitary systems that require low maintenance and that can easily last the lifetime of the ship.

Efficient sanitary systems
Olympic Notos is supplied with a Jets® vacuum sanitary system, including Jets® vacuum toilets, Jets® Vacuum Unit, Jets® Grey Water Interface Unit, and STP Ecomotive® Flex.
- Jets® vacuum toilets use just 1.2 litres of water per flush. The water is mainly used to clean and flush the bowl and pipe system. The toilet waste is transported to the sewage treatment plant, Ecomotive® Flex, that uses a biological process to handle the sewage, requiring no chemicals, explains Joakim Skarbø, Sales Manager Maritime at JETS.
Since the Jets® vacuum sanitary systems have low water-consumption, it reduces the need for production of fresh water onboard. This also means reduced volume of black water and grey water which makes the system space efficient.

Flexible installation
Vacuum sanitary systems are ideal for all vessels for a number of reasons. Jets® sanitary systems are scalable – the unique Vacuumarator® pump can power the toilet system in yachts and pleasure boats, as well as offshore ships and cruise vessels. The installation is flexible because vacuum makes it possible for the sanitary system to defy gravity by transporting sewage in any direction.
- Our Vacuumarator® pump is highly energy-efficient, and, in my opinion, it's the best on the market. Our system can pump waste upwards, horizontally, and downwards, making it versatile for all types of vessels, says Skarbø.

Our service department consists of well-trained staff that provide first-class technical service and support, either by remote troubleshooting or on-site.
- We have a service team that delivers reliably, and they're on call 24/7. We also offer a hotline and have service partners around the globe. This enables us to provide assistance at short notice, Skarbø adds.

Our service partners do their utmost to solve problems and carry out inspections, installations and repairs without interrupting your day-to-day operations. Original parts are available worldwide from our handpicked network of local representatives and from strategically located central hubs.
Jets® vacuum systems are reliable and ensure maximum uptime. This gives the crew the ability to focus on other important tasks onboard.
- The uptime of a ship’s sanitation system is absolutely crucial. If the system stops working, the ship stops working too, states Skarbø.
