Competence with a shared purpose
A strong professional environment and targeted knowledge sharing are essential for success in a constantly evolving market. That’s why JETS is heavily investing in building competence both internally and in collaboration with partners, representatives, and consultants – across borders, segments, and project types.

A shared understanding and technical confidence not only lead to better solutions for customers – they also create a more unified team and strengthen the ability to identify smart and sustainable alternatives, no matter where the challenges arise.
One example of this commitment is a recently held training course in Sweden, where a group of representatives from the Cabin & Homes segment received both practical and theoretical training in Jets® products and solutions.
The session was organised in collaboration with several team members from JETS, including Marcus Nordgren (Sales Manager Cabin & Home), Linn Urke Osnes (Training Manager), Paul Sindre Tarberg (Sales Director Cabins & Homes), and Marius Karlsen (Service), among others.
The course is part of a broader, long-term effort to ensure up-to-date knowledge, holistic understanding, and strengthened collaboration throughout the entire value chain. JETS has always been proactive in providing training for both employees and partners. Today, the company is investing heavily in creating a more structured and standardised approach to training and knowledge sharing – to gain a clear overview of existing competence and raise all stakeholders to a strong and consistent level of expertise.
- Our goal is for everyone representing JETS to feel confident in their role and take ownership of our solutions. When we share knowledge and experience, we build a stronger professional environment and enhance the quality of what we deliver, says Osnes.

Practical competence in focus
The course was held in Täby and brought together both new and experienced representatives for a full day of theoretical, practical, and in-depth technical training. Participants had the opportunity to open vacuum units, simulate faults, adjust systems, and practise troubleshooting – all in a safe and well-prepared environment.
- There’s a big difference between reading about something and actually getting hands-on with the equipment and seeing how it works. The participants were very engaged, and many expressed both curiosity and motivation to further develop their own business, says Osnes.
Practical training is a key part of JETS’ competence strategy. By building real-world experience and understanding in the field, we ensure that our partners are equipped to meet customer needs with confidence and professionalism.
- Those who work directly with customers often have to identify and solve challenges quickly. That’s why it’s crucial to have technical insight and a solid understanding of the systems, adds Tarberg.
Joint effort for integrated solutions
The focus on competence development is also about strengthening collaboration across roles – between technicians, sales teams, advisors, and marketing. When everyone works from the same knowledge base and shares an understanding of how the solutions are connected, projects get off to a better start and are carried out more seamlessly.
- When we run a training course, we evaluate it together afterwards. If someone is working on a project in Sweden, they often exchange ideas with colleagues in Hareid. That close communication makes us better – and gives the customer a more seamless experience, says Tarberg.
This approach is vital in a changing market, where both technical requirements and sustainability goals are evolving rapidly. The closer we collaborate and share experience, the better equipped we are to develop and adapt our solutions in step with the needs.
Technology in development, with people at the centre
Much of JETS’ work revolves around technology, but it’s the people who make the real difference. Those with local knowledge see solutions where others see challenges, and contribute valuable insight throughout the process – from needs assessment to installation and follow-up.
- The expertise we have in the organisation isn’t just about knowing the products. It’s also about understanding the applications, the requirements, and the bigger picture. That’s the insight we’re now sharing, says Göran Larsson, Sales Manager Construction at JETS. Based in Sweden, he oversees many of the country’s building projects.
JETS is active in several segments across Sweden. In addition to solutions for cabins and homes, the company also supplies systems for larger buildings. JETS provides pump-out solutions for boats in harbours, as well as condensate removal systems for refrigerated display units in supermarkets.

A culture of adopting modern technology
Sweden is generally known for its openness to adopting new and modern technology – even within traditional sectors such as toilet and wastewater systems. Larsson highlights several exciting projects, some in the early stages and others already well underway. One of the most innovative is Oceanhamnen in Helsingborg, where Jets® supplies vacuum toilets.
Oceanhamnen uses an integrated system for water and waste management in collaboration with the test and development centre RecoLab. Greywater is treated and reused for various purposes. More than a thousand Jets® vacuum toilets have already been installed in a range of buildings – from residential housing to the Scandic Oceanhamnen hotel, and will soon be in place at Oceanbadet as well. Oceanbadet is being built out in the harbour basin and will become a landmark in Oceanhamnen, a district developed as a pioneering project in sustainable urban development.
The vacuum solution from Jets® reduces toilet water consumption by up to 90% and enables efficient source separation of blackwater, greywater, and food waste – paving the way for both biogas production and nutrient recovery. You can read more about Oceanhamnen here.
New solutions and technologies also require strong routines for training and knowledge sharing – creating real value for those on the front line who use, learn, and further develop the solutions every day.
Knowledge sharing as a bridge-builder
New projects in cabin areas, swimming facilities, and retail settings are showcasing how Jets® technology can be applied in an increasing number of areas, from water-saving toilet solutions to condensate transport systems and pump-out stations for recreational boats.
Through digital tools like Jets® Competence and shared systems for training and documentation, bridges are being built between departments, countries, and market segments. But nothing replaces the value of meeting in person – discussing challenges and sharing experience in real-life settings.
- When we work as one team, with shared goals, a common platform, and clear direction, the outcomes improve for everyone involved. It’s about making it easier to make good decisions – for customers, for society, and for the environment, says Osnes.
The future is not shaped by technology alone, but by the people who use it wisely. With solid expertise and a clear, shared direction, JETS continues to build competence, strengthen relationships, and develop solutions that make a difference. When we work as one team – across disciplines, borders, and projects – we lay the foundation for smarter choices and sustainable results. Together, we make it possible.
